I obtained a research master in Clinical Psychology (M.Sc.) and a research master in Social Science (M.Sc.) with a specialization in mixed methods, both from the University of Amsterdam, working mainly on projects relating to critical as well as queer-feminist psychologies and the politization of trauma. I did research internships at the University of Oslo on gendered policy preferences and the German Central Institute for mental health working on a project about the use of virtual reality in experimental research. Before starting my PhD, I also worked for different NGOs, for example Amnesty International and Child Helpline International doing research on activism and the mental health of youth with migration experiences. I use qualitative methodologies with a special interest in participatory and creative methods as well as discourse and situational analysis.
